Foothill College Business and Entrepreneurship and Foothill Enactus proudly present the annual Business Innovation Challenge 2020 where students gather their business ideas and express them to a panel of professional business judges.

This event is a great opportunity to showcase your comprehensive business knowledges. First, start by searching for a problem you want to solve or a situation you want to improve in the community. This will be your potential business idea for this competition. Once you come up with an idea, come to our extensive workshops that will guide you through every steps on the way to realize your idea. Check out the steps for success in this competition!
INSPIRE:
Presentation of a student success story and instructions for the BIC. This event is intended to get students excited about the event, and to provide high-level information about the event series.

Discover:
A dedicated workshop designed to help students with ideas but who need team members to find team members, and help students with passion but no team to find teams working on business ideas that they can connect with.

Innovate:
Still don't have an idea? This workshop will greatly help you to generate an impactful idea that can boost your competitiveness in this Challenge. If you already have an idea, this workshop is a chance for you to reconfirm your idea!

Design & Make:
At this point, your idea is set and now we move onto the next stage of idea development. In this workshop, we will visit MAKERSPACE. MAKERSPACE is a great place to prototype and materialize your idea for presentation. MAKERSPACE is equipped with the latest 3D printer, laser cutter, CNC machine, and many more advanced machines that will professionally mold your idea into something tangible. ​

Pitch:
This is the final preparation for the Challenge. We will walk through how to effectively communicate your idea with the judges and the audiences. Be sure to come to this workshop and enhance the attractiveness of your idea! ​

Compete:
It's the BIG DAY! All the competitors bring in their ideas and present them to a panel of judges. Presenters will be judged on the idea, creativeness, and performance. Show us everything you've done to get here!
